At Visit and Poken by GES, we develop innovative registration and engagement software/hardware applications for exhibitions and events. Our products are designed to collect visitor registration data and sales leads for exhibitors, and then mine that data to extract intelligence for the event organiser. We develop the complete products, from start to finish.
In the position of Web (front-end) Developer you will reinforce and balance the Visit by GES development team and increase the velocity for essential functionalities for our growth strategy. You will build the best and innovative features for millions of visitors and powerful management functionalities for our clients.
You will be responsible for translating requirements into features in the interface / front-end of our platform. Ensure cross browser compatibility and focus on the usability & design of the product during the projects.
Key Activities and Responsibilities
Translate requirements into fully functioning features using the latest web techniques and common frameworks in cooperation with the rest of the team.
Create concepts/prototypes to be able to align project approach with selected stakeholders.
Continuously focus on improving the Visit products by incorporate enhancements into current development and/or making proposals to the roadmap for larger enrichments.
Being involved in the maintenance of the product by looking into support tickets and collaborate on resolving them fast and satisfactory in the product.
Actively engage in continuous improvement ensuring suggestions and opportunities are highlighted to your line manager.
Demonstrate commitment to the core values of the company.
Take a participative role in the Company’s sustainability initiative and ensure where possible your actions support the achievement of this initiative; reuse, recycle and replenish.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety, corporate, client and legislative standards across the function.
You will be required to develop and maintain positive and progressive working relationships both internally and externally, in order to facilitate growth and integration across the business.
In particular, you will be required to work collaboratively alongside and provide support to the wider Visit and Poken development team consisting of front- and back-end developers, project managers, testers and technical writers.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor or Master level of education or working experience in relevant sector/field.
Minimum of 3 years work experience in a similar role.
Professional proficiency in the English language.
Experience with common JS frameworks and common web techniques.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Hours of Work
A 40 hour week working Monday to Friday, typically between the hours of 9.00 – 5.00 (with one hour unpaid lunch).
You may be required to work evenings and weekends during busy periods in order to meet the demands of the business, including overseas travel as required.
